​Five From ‘Our Boys Matter’ Programme Excel at CARE’s Annual Graduation
In the early hours of Saturday 9 July Saint Lucia crowned new Groovy and Power Soca Monarchs, the finals of the competition were held to a packed crowd at The SAB, Vigie Playing Field, Castries, Saint Lucia.
The Groovy segment saw nine competitors while the Power soca segment, saw ten performances.
In the end, Saint Lucia crowned two new monarchs, the results are as follows:
Groovy Soca Monarch
Winner: Ricky T – Live Life (Mal Palé)
First runner-up: Ti Blaxx – Purge Them Out
Second runner-up: Qpid – One In A Million
Third runner-up: Ezra D’Funmachine – Drift
Power Soca Monarch
Winner: Fross – Eat Man Money
First runner-up: Ricky T – Done
Second runner-up: Dhirv 2Funny – Are You Dumb
Third runner-up: Ezra D’Funmachine – Pass me Straight

Meanwhile, an investigation is also ongoing into the discovery of about five kilos of cocaine at the General Post Office on Friday, July 8.
Information received is that the drugs were destined for England.
